A Commemoration of the American Interventionism

On March 17th, 2003, an international coalition led by the USA invaded Iraq. The result was the second US-Iraq War. This is part of an ongoing conflict ever since.

How did this happen?

Iraq for sale: The War Profiteers (2006)

Director Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films stand behind a great series of documentaries produced on actual and relevant issues.

This is the best documentary on the war in Iraq released until now and the best documentary on any fight I have ever seen. I have seen a lot of documentaries about the U.S.’ wars over energy resources (especially Iraq and Afghanistan – I sure hope to see something about Lybia soon), and I have read some excellent books on the war in Iraq, but this tops it all.

From A to Z, you will understand why the 2nd invasion of Iraq marks not only a new kind of warfare but also a new kind of combatant in a war: it is the first time in the known history of mankind that a Government hired a private army to colonize a country. The film depicts the horrible mockery that this whole business has been to the state of Iraq, to the American soldiers, and the taxpayers. Here are some thought-challenging questions to consider:

  • Who benefits the most from a war which has no chance of ending in our lifetimes?
  • How do these companies wage war against another country without suffering any consequences for their actions?
  • What does this new kind of war mean to the world?
  • How is the U.S. Army killing and making sick its own soldiers for the profit of a few?
  • How are the contracts assigned, and what is the importance of lobby and connections?

This documentary brings into light absolutely scandalous information firsthand and gives us a whole range of perspectives on this war’s implications, mechanisms, and characteristics.

If you would only have one documentary to choose to understand the topic of the Iraq war, this is the one. A definite must-see.

Warning! While it does not depict graphic violence, the greed depicted might make you sick!

My rating: 9 / 10 ( A perfect documentary)

Fair Game (2010)

Director Doug Liman, son of a CIA agent, has done a great job directing this high-paced docudrama which received an award for best film in 2010 about civil liberties. This is a movie to see the true story of how the Iraq war started. Based on the two books written by the two main characters, former CIA analyst experts, the picture follows the story of two people who tried to prevent a war that was based on no evidence and got their lives destroyed for it. If you want to understand how political and economic agendas join hands to make a lot of profit from war, this movie will definitely help you. In my opinion, it is the best political Hollywood thriller made between Syriana and Sicario. Another film based on the same story which is good, but not as good as Fair Game is Nothing But the Truth (2008)

Academy Award winner Sean Penn and Academy Award Nominee Naomi Watts give life to an inspiring and true story of fighting for the truth and assuming all and any consequences for it. For “the Truth will set you free”.

My rating: 8 / 10 (masterpiece). A must-see.

Do you want to know how the British were fooled into partially acknowledging sending U.K. troops into Iraq to support the American ones? Find out by watching this documentary:

7/7 Ripple Effect

This is the documentary to see to understand how the British people got manipulated by the British government to sustain with more troops the failed U.S. plan to transform Iraq into a colony.

It extensively treats the subject of the “terrorist attacks” framing delivered to the media. It proves how it was actually IMPOSSIBLE for the so-called “terrorists” to be the independent authors of the bomb attack. It is great to see such a compelling documentary that accomplishes in only one hour to be so to the point and bring so much proof.

This is one of the most compressed, well-documented proofs of state-organized terrorism ever done, and it is the only one I have seen until now about the events in the U.K. (of course, there are many more). I consider it, in quality, close to the historical documentary 911 in Plane Site.

I copied this from the description of the film on youtube:

“The European Union has arrested a British man for the crime of sending a DVD to a judge. According to the Irish Times, Anthony John Hill of Sheffield was arrested at his home in Carrick Street, Kells, on the foot of a European Arrest Warrant. U.K. authorities claim Hill perverted the course of justice in a case related to London’s July 7th, 2005 bomb attacks.

British authorities claim copies of the DVD were sent, in packaging with Irish postal marks, between September 2007 and December 2007 to five relatives of people killed during the bombing. In addition, copies were sent to a judge and jury foreman in the case.

I sent it. I believe those men to be innocent; Hill told the police when he was arrested and asked about the DVD. Sgt Seán Fallon told the Irish Times that a friend of Hills made copies on his home computer. Irish Gardaí took possession of the computer.

Anthony John Hill was remanded in custody for the crime of sending the DVD and awaits a hearing on February 18th.

7/7 Ripple Effect posits that British and Israeli intelligence is responsible for the attacks..”

My vote: 8 / 10. (Masterpiece).

U.S. interventionism is a fierce habit. It also happened in other parts. Please watch…

The War on Democracy (2007)

This is another must-see masterpiece. John Pilger is a reporter, journalist, and filmmaker who has worked for the past 40 years making tens of documentaries about injustices worldwide. This is one of his best pictures, centering on the 2002 American coup d’etat during Hugo Chavez’s presidency. The movie proves how CIA and American-backed traitors have executed a bloody attempt to remove a democratically chosen president from power, to set in motion an oil mafia controlled by influential U.S. people.

It generally speaks about the longstanding imperialistic neo-colonizing policy of the U.S. after WW II – the author counts more than 50 attempts to overthrow governments worldwide. And it speaks in particular about this shameful event which occurred 11 years ago in what was then a peaceful country. This is a proper case study that exposes “the American way” down to its rabbit hole. This documentary will open your eyes to this subject.

My opinion: 8/10.

The whole movie
