Schema Focused Therapy (SFT) is an integrative, holistic approach that considers that most, if not all, psychiatric issues have their roots în traumas which activate” life traps” (maladaptive schemas). When it reaches a certain statistical threshold, each schema becomes active (manifest) în a client’s life. If it reaches a superior threshold, it becomes severe and accompanies a clinically significant psychiatric case. The purpose of reading and understanding such life traps is to identify them and make a conscious decision to bring healing which will inactivate them before reaching the severe level. One of the paths proven to work în this is Schema Focused Therapy. Another one is Schema Dynamics Programming.
The following articles are about maladaptive schemas and modes.
The schema I wrote about most extensively on the Analytic Vision blog is entitlement. There is a series about how entitlement may affect entrepreneurs, freelancers, marketers, and sales professionals. Besides that, I wrote some more articles about entitlement. For a maladaptive schema to produce damage, it doesn’t need to be at a psychiatric, severe level. It can do significant professional damage even at mild scores such as 30%.

Recognize schema modes!
Schema modes are behavioral clusters of manifestation for the maladaptive schemas. One easy way of understanding such expressions is by watching films that illustrate them.
I wish you productive healing!
