A Kind Thought If You Don’t Like Your Job

Each of us had at least a period in our life when we had a job we didn’t like, whether it was a seasonal experience of a few months or the need to support ourselves or look for the right career. Being a career consultant, I can only remind you that since we spend about a third of our life working, it might as well be an activity we like. However, until then, this post is dedicated to all who consider that their potential is underused in their work field, that their talents are not correctly valued, and that they are underappreciated by others.

I have recently found a wonderful video of a simple, charming song. This video could even be considered a standalone short film meant to brighten your day and boost your self-confidence. I have lately found out that I can listen to this song for hours without getting bored.

Anna Kendrick, the actress who became famous for her Oscar-nominated role in “Up in the Air”, is here also a singer – and not for the first time. The original song “When I’m Gone” is a development of the one featured in the musical “Pitch Perfect”, which hasn’t sadly been shown in Romania, although it’s a very good, fresh, and inspiring movie. I also recommend the video, the movie and … maybe it would be a good idea if you learned the beat – for the extra long hours you have to spend at work all by yourself.

Of course, even if you don’t want to travel the world (who doesn’t?), even if you love your job, and even if not everybody will miss you (except for those who matter), this video remains a charming recommendation that is worth being passed on.
