Golden Globes Ceremony 2018 Live Blogging

  • As usual, every year, I’m watching the live ceremony on internet streaming and I’m sharing with you the main moments as they happen. This post will be updated several times during the event.

Seth Meyers the host of the show and comments on the fact that the white people are more nervous this year. Meyers is asking Christopher Plummer if he’s ready to also replace Spacey in House of Cards. He invited Daniel Kaluuya he must Get Out because it’s a trap.

Reese Witherspoon thanks to Oprah Winfrey for her legacy to television and her inspiration. She has been an actress, TV presenter, and producer, opening the people’s eyes to stories breaking new ground. She receives the Cecil B. DeMille award for a life career.

Everybody applauds standing for more than 1 minute.

She is the first black woman receiving this award, after Sidney Potier, who she has seen in her childhood receiving Oscar. She dedicates this award to women who have been maltreated and shared their stories, made the truth public. Too much time the women have been oppressed by men and now the time is up for stopping. Her speech is inspiring, moving, applauded. All men must listen. Everybody applauds standing again.
